ON-LINE ORDERING IS HERE!  You can now order your scrip cards on-line at Shop with Scrip.com.  All you need to do is enroll with Shop with Scrip.com (enrollment code needed) and place your order on-line.  After we receive your payment, your order will be included with our next Great Lakes Scrip Center order.  To sign up for Shop with Scrip or for more information on how Shop with Scrip works, stop by the scrip table in the narthex between Sunday services or contact Joyce Earl either in the church office at 451-7293 or at home 451-2766.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!   Together, we did it!  With your generosity, $23,781.00 has been raised for a permanent screen and projector in the sanctuary.  Even though we have now met our goal, if you would still like to contribute to the screen fund, you may do so.  All contributions exceeding the goal will remain in the sanctuary screen fund for future upkeep needs. The next phase, installation, will proceed under the guidance of the sanctuary screen committee. Thank you to all who have generously supported this project!

Cookbook Update: The St. John Cookbooks are here!!  Pick yours up in the church office. They are on sale now for $10 each to sell the remaining balance and the proceeds will benefit the Roof Fund.

Minute 4 Mission

The St. John Caring Cupboard will be collecting disposable baby diapers (all sizes) and baby wet wipes.  Remember, if you hear or know of a need in our community, please call Barb Streed (451-0306) or Kris Dragich (455-1110) to see if the St. John Caring Cupboard could connect with that need.

Also we continue to support the Hospitality House in Owatonna.  St. John is looking for volunteers to provide a meal for 8-9 adult males at the Hospitality House.  The meal needs to be delivered to 515 State Street between 4:00 - 5:00 PM, in disposable pans, the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month.  There is a sign up sheet in the narthex.  Please consider serving this need as well.  Sign up for this is in the  narthex.   Your help would be much appreciated.

Altar flowers:

You can sign-up in the narthex to have flowers/plants for the altar.  These can be given in honor or memory of loved ones.  Bring the flower/plant to church on Fridays and notify the office if you'd like your donation/dedication printed in the bulletin-this information needs to be in by Wednesdays at noon!

For $50.00 per week you can sponsor our missionaries: Dr. Steve and Bethany Friberg family.  Check the New in Pews for a slip to fill out and turn in with your check.  We will publish your name and information in future News in Pews if desired.

Over and Above Gift:

We are delighted to be able to have an intern program here at St. John. The experience provided to the interns in invaluable. With the intern program there are various expenses that need to be covered and we could use your help by giving an “over and above” gift of $25.00 each month, or occasionally, earmarked for the “intern program.” Thank you to any and all of you who choose to give in this way!

Seminarian Support Fund - Another "Over and Above" Opportunity:

Barb Streed continues her seminary studies up at Luther Seminary in St. Paul. One of our wonderful opportunities is to remember her in our prayers and also help her with financial gifts to help cover her education costs. Because of tight budget constraints, we are not budgeting a specific amount, so God will surprise us once again with a showing of your generosity. Thank you for your gifts.

Knitters & Crocheters:

Please plan on helping us make prayer shawls this winter.  You can use your own yarn, or pick some up in the church office.  Any questions, please call Kathy Flint @451-8068.
