Cornerstone:  Junior High 6:30 pm;  Senior High 7:37 pm - begins in the narthex.

Book Clubs:  Junior High Book Club meets on Monday mornings at 7:00 AM at Old Town Bagels.  We are discussing the book "Do Hard Things"  

                       Senior High Book Club meets Wednesday mornings at 7:00 am at Old Town Bagels.  We are discussing the book "The Shack" 

RE:     Tuesday morning at 7:30 am.

Mark your Calendars!!   

Confirmation Overnight Retreat: Good Earth Village.  We will be leaving from church on Friday, Feb. 3rd at 6:00 pm and the retreat will end with worship at our own

 Saturday Evening Worship Service at 5:00 pm on Feb. 4th.

Youth Silent Auction:  Sunday, February 19th.  We are looking for people to donate baskets for this event.  The funds will go to help support trips for St. John Youth.

Junior High Lock-In:  JH lock-in is March 23th - 24th. from 6:00 pm - 9:00 AM.  This event is open to Youth 6th grade - 8th grade.  Adult volunteers are needed  throughout the night to help with this event.  A group from Gustavus Adolphus College will help us worship and have fun.  Please let me know if you can help.

Nursing Home Volunteering:   I am looking for a group of youth who would be interested in going to a nursing home and spending time with residents for 1-2 hours.  If you’re interested, please let me know.   We will be going to Cedarview Nursing Home on one Saturday in March from 10 - 11 AM.  We will then come back to church adn talk about the experience  

Ushering and Communion Server Groups:  I have 2 youth ushering groups but need more.  The 8:00 AM Group will be ushering on Feb 5th.  The 10:30 AM group is scheduled for Feb. 26th.   Still looking for more volunteers to help with ushering during the services as well as serving communion  

Youth Led Worship Service:  Saturday, March 31st at the 5:00 pm service.  We will be planning and leading the entire service. Thank you to all who have helped at the previous services.  It was such a fun experience!   Let me know if you want to help at this service.

Recycling Fund-Raiser:

Please bring in your used ink or laser cartridges form your printers, cell phones, digital cameras, camcorders, laptops and GPS devices.  We can raise money and be good to the environment at the same time!

Did you know St. John has a pop can bin? It has moved to the west side of the shed located on the south side of the big parking lot. Please bring your pop cans that have been rinsed out and crushed. Proceeds help fund various St. John youth activities.
